Everybody is so CGI nowadays, that you don’t even remember how it was before ILM came up with the new digital standard in movies. I mean, kids today don’t even see drawn comics – it’s all 3-D rendered illustrations now.

Don’t get me wrong, i’m not one of the “Everything used to be better”-dudes, or hating development, i’m just saying. Of course the level of 3-D work and CGI has extremely developed in the past couple years. But then again, i’m more touched by those cute analog ideas realized. Any day.
As a Michel Gondry Fan, i’d like to share something that reminds me very much of his work, but is not his, as far as i know. Have a look at this knitted video from Tricot Machine, a band from Montreal, Canada, i stumbled over here . The video was all knit in about 715 animation frames. I do hope it was a knitting machine and not some poor granny.
